ABOUT
My name is Shana Burger, my big passion is sailing. I grew up in Thun near the lake of Thun. On which I learned to sail (on the optimist) there I found my big passion. Currently I am sailing on the ILCA 4 (Laser 4.7). I am sailing since autumn 2021 on the ILCA 4.
The element water always fascinated me in a special way, there is no better feeling then being on the water in my boat. When I can feel the wind in my hair and my face there is nothing more incredible. I am sailing since I was a little child, we could say the passion for sailing is in my blood. Later I started sailing on the Optimist with the age of 8, I completed my first meters in front of the Thunersee Yacht Club. A bit later I changed to the Regatta Club Oberhofen, from there on I started to follow my dreams and I still do now.

2016 1st place TBSV Cup category B, this was my first ever Regatta in which I sailed.

2017 my first participation in a swiss championship.

2019 2nd place Optimist Teamrace swiss championship in Lugano.

2020 1st place Optimist Teamrace swiss championship in Oberhofen.

2020 17th place Optimist european championship in Portoroz (SLO), this was my first selection for a european championship.

2021 1st place Optimist Teamrace swiss championship in Neuenburg

2021 45th place Optimist european championship in Cadiz (ESP)

2022 1st girl and 2nd overall Eurocup Neuenburg in that year I changed from the Optimist to the ILCA 4.

2022 1st place PM in Thun, 1st place PM Morges, 2nd place PM Versoix, 3rd place PM Stäfa.
